Sunday mornings

Worship, learn, connect

Sunday mornings at Good News Church are vibrant, varied and fun. We meet weekly at Queen Elizabeth’s School, to worship God, enjoy community and learn from the Bible. When we gather, we expect to meet with God as He has promised in Matthew 18:20.
We would love for you to join us this Sunday for tea and toast at 10am followed by our service at 10:30am.

Good News Church - Welcome

The running order

Sunday services are always full of joy.

Arrival - On arrival you will notice our blue signs directing you into the venue where you will be greeted by a member of our welcome team in a blue t-shirt.

Tea and Toast - The service starts at 10:30am, but tea, coffee and toast is served from 10:00am.

Worship - We usually start our meetings with around thirty minutes of praise and worship. This will be contemporary in style and you are more than welcome to join in, or observe.

Preach - After the worship, the children’s work is opened so that the children can go to their groups before the preach. There will then be a thirty minute message based on a passage from the Bible.

Response - Following the preach there may be an opportunity for people to respond to what they have heard through prayer or song.

More refreshments - After the service tea and coffee is served again. Please stay for a drink and a chat. We’d love to get to know you.

Offering - At some point during the meeting an offering will be taken up. As a guest, please do not feel under any obligation to give, simply let the basket pass you by, this is an opportunity for the church family to give as part of their worship.

Prayer - There is always an opportunity to pray with a member of the ministry team if you would like to.

Here to help.

What should I wear?

We are an informal church, there is no dress code and most people dress casually.

Is there parking available?

There is lots of free parking at the school.

Do you have the same speaker each week?

We believe God has gifted many with the passion and wisdom of teaching. We have a team at Good News Church who will preach on different Sundays. We also have the privilege of guest speakers joining us on occasion to bring the word of God.

Can I listen to previous sermons?

Yes! We record all of our messages which you can listen to in the resources section of this website. Alternatively, you can listen to them on SoundCloud.

What is your Safeguarding Policy?

Good News Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. For more information, or to view our full safeguarding policy, please speak to Alex Lawrence (safeguarding coordinator), or the church office.

"The perfect church service, would be one we were almost unaware of. Our attention would have been on God."
